City of Ames Parks & Recreation
The Parks & Recreation department of the City of Ames, Iowa provides multiple resources for citizens of all ages to organize or participate in local events and more! From Aquatics and Fitness to Adult Recreation & Sports Leagues, Ames' many beautiful parks offer multiple opportunities to get out and enjoy all that our fine city has to offer. Ames Inspections Divison

Ames Community School District
With a deep focus on engaged learning, the Ames Community School District provides high-quality education from Preschool through 12th Grade and has five elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. The district takes pride in its initiatives to put students first every day through teaching and learning, family and community engagement, quality learning environments throughout its facilities, and updated technology for connected learning.

CyRide Resources
CyRide is the Ames Iowa city bus system that functions as a collaborative effort between Iowa State University, the City of Ames, and ISU's Student Government. While students of Iowa State University, children under the age of 5, and Personal Care Attendants (PCAs) may ride the bus for free, citizens pay a small fee. Learn more on our CyRide Resources page.
